Yes it definitely will! each day I lurk on the Steam Forums, I get more excited for HL3!
I agree that the game-play will probably remain the same (amazing game-play anyway!!)
The Graphics, Physics, Animation, Story, and guns will all definitely get much, MUCH better! It will be the best FPS when it comes out!
I am confident that 2012 is the year they will announce it!
I always think of it like this:
When Ep3 comes out it will be extremely Epic, and will restore hope for good FPS computer games :D
