An advocate for freedom, a lover of knowledge, and a steadfast secularist. I believe theocratic governments should be eradicated (i.e. complete separation of religion and state) and that, although a secular world is not necessarily a panacea for all society's problems, an end to superstition and religious bigotry would be a great leap forward in the overall human experience.
Every human being has the right to practice (or NOT practice) religion, AS LONG as it does NOT suppress another's liberty, happiness, health, and overall well being. Governments should govern by the rule of law, not by law and order, respecting EVERYONE's human dignity, whether man, woman, or child. Religion has no place in government.
That being said, I support the fight for freedom from theocratic suppression, especially that which is being fought in Iran. I watched together with the rest of the world as the struggle against theocracy unfolded in the summer of 2009 in Iran, and I must say, they are some of the bravest people I have ever witnessed.
While I am not Iranian, I have held a deep interest in Iranian history and culture for quite some time. I've created these videos to show my support for the Iranian freedom fighters. May freedom win in Iran and around the world---for both men AND WOMEN.
