A major misty maker! I played this song a thousand times after my wife died in an auto accident...tears flowed freely each time I played it...same today. Roy sang about some serious emotions.

@Skipjack1965 Not on R&R...I was stationed at Ubon, Thailand, '68-'69. Transferred to Nha Trang in '70, but flying to Laos & Thailand often. As a flight surgeon & pilot, I was everywhere...logged 230 combat sorties in 15 types of military aircraft. PCS to Korea in '71.

Ah yes, memories of my days in Veitnam, Laos, and Thailand...my war went on & on. During Desert Storm, I bought audiotapes of these songs in Saudi Arabia, and played them every night...memories unlimited!
