About Me:
Well... There's a looooong story - and a short one:
1 - The looooong explanation: It all began years ago when I used to come home from school and watch The Golden Girls. I loved the show and the characters, especially Rose - played by Betty White. I then started searching for more information about miss White and I realised that she had been making sitcoms since the early 1950s.
I started watching Life With Elizabeth and A Date With The Angels - and THEN I realized that YouTube is a treasure chest filled with old game shows featuring Betty White and of course her husband Allen Ludden (and the wonderful show Password)
So... having watched all of the Password episodes available - I started looking for other shows featuring Miss White - by which time I found What's My Line? - I fell in love with the show immediately, and I added 'new' television personalities to my list of idols; Bennett Cerf, John Charles Daly, Dorothy Kilgallen - AND especially Arlene Francis!!!
I have also started watching episodes of To Tell The Truth, Match Game and other shows, but my favourite is still WML!
2 - The short explanation: I love Betty White and Arlene Francis - they are two of the most charming, sophisticated and eloquent women in the history of television - which is why I love watching their shows :D

I lived in the same town as Arlene Francis and Bennett Cerf. Allen Ludden and Betty White lived in nearby Chappaqua (where the Clintons live now) while I was growing up.
