Buffalo Springfield - For What It's Worth, (1967, Bandstand, el Hollywood Palace, Smothers Brothers).
(Sorry, video advertising is a matter of youtube, I have nothing to do.)
Buffalo Springfield was a rock group that served as a springboard for the careers of Neil Young, Stephen Stills, Richie Furay and Jim Messina, two of whom played in rock, pop, folk, country and acoustic group Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young later in their career. Buffalo Springfield is best known for the song "For What It's Worth". After the band's formation in April 1966, a series of disruptions, including infighting and the pressure of working in the music industry, resulted in constant changes in the group's lineup and ultimately culminated in the group's disbanding after roughly 25 months. Buffalo Springfield released a total of three albums but left many demo recordings, studio outtakes and live recordings, as well as a reputation for excellent personnel and high band dysfunction.[1] Despite the band's short tenure and relatively limited output it was one of the most influential bands of the 1960s, with virtually all members going on to successful careers and with two (Stills and Young) reaching the top of rock stardom.
Components of the band. Richie Furay Dewey Martin Jim Messina Stephen Stills Neil Young Bruce Palmer

To his friends, hes Mr. Dynamo. To his doctors, hes a miracle. To the rest of the world, hes The Hawk, the Arkansas-born King of Rockabilly who made Canada his home and his stage for more than four decades. Hes still rocking the house today against all odds.
In this feature length documentary, director Anne Pick spends a roller coaster year and a half with The Hawk, from his diagnosis of terminal pancreatic cancer in 2002 through to his mysterious recovery. He was told he was a dead man.

Brought on stage to perform at a ramblin Jack elliott concert in July 1975 at the Bitter End club, this is the only time he has ever performed this song live.
Lyrics:
I can hear the turning of the key I've been deceived by the clown inside of me. I thought that he was righteous but he's vain Oh, something's telling me I wear a ball and chain.
My patron saint is fighting with a ghost He's always off somewhere when I need him most. The Spanish moon is rising on the hill But my heart is telling me I love ya still. I come back to the town from the flaming moon I see you in the street, I begin to swoon. I love to see you dress before the mirror Won't you let me in your room one time before I disappear?
Everybody's wearing a disguise To hide what they've got left behind their eyes. But me, I can't cover what I am Wherever the children go I'll follow them.
I can't play the game no more, I can't abide by their stupid rules which kept me sick inside They've been made by men who've given up the search Whose gods are dead and whose queens are in the church.
I march in the parade of liberty But as long as I love you I'm not free. How long must I suffer such abuse Won't you let me see you smile before I cut you loose?
Send out for Saint John the Evangelist All my friends are drunk, they can be dismissed. My head says that it's time to make a change But my heart is telling me I love ya but you're strange.
So step lightly, darling, near the wall Put on your heavy make-up, wear your shawl. Won't you descend from the throne, from where you sit? Let me feel your love one more time before I abandon it.
