Angels, ghosts, & mafia-like demons track thirteen-year-old science whiz Charlie Parker on a race to find an otherworldly map. Chasing clues left by his missing mother, Charlie teams with a rag-taggle group of friends, including beautiful gothic Aldercy Edlyn, to piece together the mystery before the evil Riclu Fe' has his way. On the way, he must outwit nefarious school officials and avoid being zombified by their eerie FYI Infusion Program. His search leads him to a supernatural riverboat which takes him to WASGAD's Academy for Youngsters where he encounters members of his family tree stranger than he could have ever imagined.
