Mid-Roof or Final Roof Inspection Servicefor New Roof Installations Mid-Roof Inspection: This type of roof Inspection should be performed with all types of New roof installations, sometime after the roof is started but before too much of the roof is completed to inspect the materials, flashings, fasteners, and their installation that will be hidden under the roof covering material. A Mid-Roof Inspection is essential for Tile Roofing and should be performed after the installation of the Underlayments, Secondary Flashing, and Battens but prior to the installation of the Tile. If the Tile roofing has been completed without passing our Mid-Roof Inspection, we will have to perform the Mid-Roof Inspection at the time of the Final Roof Inspection. We will have to remove some tile which will add additional time. When performing a Mid-Roof Inspection at the same time as the Final Roof Inspection it is impossible to do as good of a Mid-Roof Inspection as it would have been with the underlayments exposed. Final Roof Inspection: This type of roof inspection is the main and most important for a New Roof Installation. This type of roof inspection is to verify that the Roof Installation has been completed in a workmanship like manner following generally accepted roofing standards that not only meet the local City/County's current IBC and IRC Building Codes and their Amendments but also meets the 2009 IBC and IRC Building Codes as well as both the current and legacy reports from ICC Evaluation Services, Roofing Manufacturer's Association Installation Manuals and Specifications, whichever is more restrictive as detailed in our roofkey Roofing Guidelines. Passing the Final Roof Inspection will give you Peace of Mind knowing the roof was properly installed greatly reducing the chance of roof leaks or other roofing problems, callbacks and litigations, now and in the future.This type of Roof Inspection is the same as we have been performing for years for several City/County Building Departments.A typewritten Digital Photo Roof Inspection Report is not included but can be requested for an additional Fee. (See our web page Roof Inspection Service Fees.) This type of roof inspection report will be e-mailed to you or mailed by postal service a few days later. Photos are generally not needed with Mid-Roof and Final Roof Inspections unless there are unresolved problems or concerns.
