About this user

I enjoy listening to and playing bluegrass, old time, and classic country music with my friends. I mostly play the fiddle, but have played my share of guitar backup for my fiddling friends at contests and jams in the past. I am currently fiddling for the bluegrass band High Lonesome in Columbia, SC, and also have played or occasionally filled in or guested with other local groups such as Bill Wells and the Blue Ridge Mountain Grass, Carolina Crossroads, Amick Junction, Darlene and the Reflections of Bluegrass, The Carolina Rebels, The Hired Hands, The Picking Partners, Flat Out Strangers, and others.

When I was younger I spent a lot of time with the older local fiddlers such as Homer "Pappy" Sherrill and Vernon Riddle, and am grateful to them for the time and music that they gave to me.

I put together this YouTube channel to give you a little taste of some of the music of my friends from the midlands of South Carolina and beyond.
