I look at myself as having interests in many things. I've been an Amateur Radio operator since middle of High School, first licensed in Apr '95. I have interests in building radios from kits and looking for more using Surface Mounted Devices (SMD). Interested in Solar Power, Antennas, and CW (Morse Code). I got my Extra before the FCC got rid of the 13 and 20wpm test and now hope to be more active in CW since the FCC no longer requires CW Testing for a license.
I am a military child. I've never lived anywhere for more than 3yrs in my entire life. Because of moving so much in my life, when asked where I'm from, I usually respond by saying "no where". I hope to settle down someday and quit moving.
While deployed to Afghanistan, I reverted to Islam in Jan 2009. I am happy with this decision. I have learned a great deal and continue to pray for guidance and knowledge.
I am also interested in learning Arabic and Dari languages.
After several years of waiting, I took sailing lessons in Jul 11. It was very nice. I am looking at sailboats and looking to do more sailing in the future. Who knows? maybe I will go around the world.
