About Me:

Welcome stranger. If you're looking for general gaming, lost gems and obscurities, rare collectibles, or just gamers who know their stuff, then you've come to the right place.

This is GS' host, Vtd speaking and with my partner in crime, Bel Cain The Eternal (my twin bro.), we are proud to be a part of YouTube. Gaming Sanctuary is the amalgamation of years of experience with video games, a rarely seen passion for gaming, and the nagging of friends and peers. We are major collectors and versatile gamers with thousands of games in our possession. This channel will be home to all kinds of videos with decent quality to boot. If you're a gamer or a curious individual and you want to sub/invite us, feel free to do so.

Formed on February 27th of 2007, GS was just a hobbyist site where we put our gaming knowledge and cross-examinations on a world stage. For better or worse, it has garnered high expectations from many esteemed gaming sites. We did not ask for it, but can only hope to live up to such expectations.

This channel focuses largely on obscure games and games most folks here in the states don't get to witness. As such, while this channel will cover all games, it does not cater to the mainstream crowd. If you don't like video games, that's fine, just don't post about it in our channel. As for everyone else, enjoy the show.

Note: We game for fun and awareness, not for fame or attention.

FAQ:

Q: What do you make your videos with?
A: A Dazzle Platinum, Hypercam, Fraps, Virtual Dub, Camtasia Studio, WMM, and Adobe After Effects. We use the Dazzle w/ Pinnacle Studio for nearly everything. We use HC, CS, WMM, VD and Fraps for PC games and for ocassional editing. We only use AE if we have to. Unless stated, all videos (sans GG, NGPC, WS and VB) are recorded off real hardware. With the aforementioned, we own/played the original games and systems. We likely won't own or have played Arcade games shown in this channel.

Q: How long have you guys been gaming?
A: For about two decades.

Q: Do you like anime?
A: OH YEAH! The Sci-Fi channel introduced me and my bro. to pure anime goodness back in the day, and Toonami made sure that it would remain a part of who we are. We're nerds after all -- Cool nerds, but nerds nonetheless.

Q: What's your favorite system?
A: We don't have brand loyalty. We play whatever we feel like playing.

Q: What's your favorite/least favorite genre(s)?
A: Rpgs, action games, music/ryhthm and fighting games are our favorites. If -unique- were a genre, we'd choose that too. We can't play too many sports games. We'll go outside if we want to catch a pigskin.

Q: Do you do LPs?
A: Ocassionally, though that isn't our focus. There are thousands of games out there. We'd rather bring them to light first.

Q: You take requests?
A: Not anymore, unless it sounds interesting.

Q: Can you teach me --?
A: While we could tell you Google is your friend, we are willing to share what we know, if time permits. Do not be afraid to ask questions.

Q: How many games/systems do you own?
A: We lost count long ago. We guesstimate that we have 4,000+ w/o duplicates, 6,000+ w/ duplicates for games. We have 30+ different systems (not counting different models). See our playlists for some stuff.

Q: Are you rich?
A: Nope, just calculating. We know the value of $.

Q: Why do you like Japanese games?
A: Because we like Japan. Maybe we'll visit someday.

Q: What is a gamer?
A: A comprehensive pile of misconceptions and broad generalizations. As such, I cannot define what a gamer is. I only know that some refer to us as true gamers.

We'd like to thank all our viewers for checking our strange channel. Thanks for everything! いろいろお世話になりました! Game on!

NOTE: We do not Sub-4-Sub. S4S takes the passion out of our work and we feel it belittles ourselves and others. A sub we haven't earned in some way is little more than a number. Thanks for understanding.

E of DEX: Hey there! I am E of DEX, and I have a favor to ask. If you don't want to do it, or can't do it I understand, but I was wondering, do you think that you could post the ending clips to Vexx along with the fight against Dark Yabu? Please reply to me with either a yes or a no answer. No matter what you decide to do, I thank you for taking the time to read this message

Thank you Vyse! Now I'm really back at all, and it's good to see you load up lots of new videos! I'll make sure to watch them all :)

Hope you're doing fine!
AceNoctali (1 day ago)
Cool, glad to hear it ! :D

Thanks for checking the vid ! I really appreciate it. :)
You know, thinking about it, I'm more and more glad to have bought that Tokimeki Memorial Selector AV. I bought it at first as a pure collector item, but now it's extremely useful. Not only thanks to it, I can do GameCube and Megadrive vids, but it also really helps connectivity-wise : before, when I wanted to play, say, a GameCube game, but the Megadrive's Peritel cable was plugged on the TV, I had to do acrobatics in order to go behind the TV, unplug the Megadrive Peritel, and plug the GameCube Peritel (and so forth each time I wanted to play on a different console). Now, I plug all cables on the AV Selector, thus only one Peritel is needed, and I just need to press a switch on the Selector to switch from a console to another.
Yep, we never know when something not that useful at first glance would become so invaluable. :p

Ah, so you're doing BoR mods now?
AceNoctali (2 days ago)
Hi Vyse, feeling better I hope ? :)

I've got good news and bad news : I find found a way to record Megadrive games, but quality of the vids is, well... Let's say lowish. Especially sound-wise. I've made a little test video, if you're interesting in seeing the results.
ApeEscaper493 (3 days ago)
I understand that. Many good YouTubers were suspended for copyright claims, like funny1allways, who returned as MajinReborn just under two months ago.

The thing I miss the most about MajinReborn's funny1allways account is his Starfox Adventures videos.
ApeEscaper493 (5 days ago)
Hey Vyse. It's been a long time.

Well, I got my first account warning, saying I had to delete my Opening to Kung Fu Panda DVD video because of a copyright claim by Paramount Pictures. It sucks, because it was my most viewed video on YouTube, having over 22,000 views. I remember posting it 10 months ago as my first video.

Hello Vyse !!

It has been a long time !!

I wanted to add something to your recent comment about Saturn emulation : I can say the emulation is really good (if it has a good computer of course). I've tested the majority of these games and I've discovered a lot of good games (but there are still games which don't work but there aren't many).

So, as I've said to AceNoctali, I will show all I've tested as soon as possible :) !!

See you later !!
