Married for 31 years and mother of 7 children, Cynthia and her husband own their own business, a Christian bookstore called "Back to Basics".

In 1994, Rep. Davis decided to do something about the non-responsive government in O'Fallon and ran for City Council, winning five consecutive elections to that office. From there, she was elected to four terms in the Missouri House of Representatives.

While serving in the Missouri State Legislature, Rep. Davis demonstrated her capacity to administrate "party discipline" by being appointed by the Speaker of the House to be a Majority Floor Whip, Chairman of two legislative committees and Vice-Chair of two other legislative committees.

After devoting many years in an effort to reform the Republican Party from within, Rep. Davis concluded it was a futile effort as she saw the Republican Party moving towards a bigger government agenda every year. In July 2011, Rep. Davis left the Republican Party and joined the Constitution Party.
