We would like to thank our friends and subscribers
for their patience and support.
This is the definitive version of the fan film. We are "finally"
moving onto other cool projects. We are thankful for the
generally warm reception of our small fan-made production
and the great positive reaction from the "Classic NES" (1989)
Ninja Gaiden Fans around the world.
This Films was created specially for you, the fans of
the original NG Series on the NES/Famicom.
Although very humble and underfunded, a lot of effort and heart
went into it... We hope you enjoy!!
Classic Ninja Gaiden is a small but Important part of gaming history.
If you are not familiar with the original Ninja Gaiden storyline,
we encourage you to look it up.

Now for some fun facts for the curious ones....
DID YOU KNOW THAT...
- This is the 3rd and final version of the fan film.
- This project was initially meant to be a 2 minute visual "just for fun" test
of Ryu taking a vow of revenge. It evolved into the first NG fan film of it's kind (also for fun).
- The fan film is based on some of the cut scenes of the original NES game.
- The choice of making the film silent is an "homage" to old school 8 bit gaming, where most games were voiceless at that time.
- The "Comic / Cel Shading" look was chosen to better blend the CG with the live footage and was also found to be reminiscent
of the cartoon look of games of that era.
- A consumer camera was the only thing we had at the time...
(But now times have changed)
- The film cost was $350 to make. ($275 for materials and $75 for pizza!)
- The sword in the intro actually belongs to Ryu's father...
(He drops it when he loses the duel to Bloody Malth)
- All masked agents are actually one guy...
we had special permission to clone him.
- In the Ryu vs Basaquer fight scene both characters
are actually played by the same actor... Yep! He's that fast.
- In the Ryu vs Bomberhead fight, there is one particularly "convincing" punch performed by the actor playing Ryu...
well... let's just say that the other actor's face was convinced!
Can you tell which punch it was?
- The Kerberos - Bloody Malth - Masked Devil - Jaquio - Demon
scenes in the fan film were presented as Ryu's "Visions" of
things to come... and also as a reminder for us, the old-school
"mere mortal" gamers, of the stuff we went trough when we played...
- In the Bloody Malth flash scene towards the end of the film...
his "White Ninja" form can be seen in the lightning.
- 90% of the film was shot in front of a home-made 9ft. x 7ft.
cardboard green screen on a 81 sq ft. ground surface.
- The masks, costumes, CG scenes and cover mix of all the NG Scores
in the film were done by one dude... the Director.
- All armors and masks were created by using "Yoga mats"
as base material.
- Even after all these years...
This Classic game can still kick most people's butt!!!!

Chapter 15:
(0:06) Text Journal [Letter to Mom #1] - After you're let out of your cell, look for a secret path behind the cells to locate the journal.
(0:47) Text Journal [Letter to Mom #2] - Once in the showers, head left until you find a hole in the wall that leads to pipes. The journal will be on the floor.
(1:23) Text Journal [Letter to Mom #3] - Head to the northeast corner on the second floor of Cellblock B to find a journal on a mattress in a cell.
(1:54) Text Journal [Letter to Mom #4] - After disabling the drone in Cellblock B, the doors open back to the main area. Find the journal on the desk on the left side of the hallway.
(2:36) Text Journal [Letter to Mom #5] - After defending the sniper onslaught in the cafeteria. Find a boarded up doorway on the eastern wall. Smash through it with the Sledgehammer to find the letter.
Chapter 16:
(3:07) Text Journal [Letter to Mom #6] - Once out of the water-filled section of the pit, the journal will lay on the ground right in your path. You can't miss it.
(3:29) Malikov Journal [Can You Hear Them?] - After fighting the hoardes of grims and leeches, go through the door and look on the ground to locate this journal.
(4:08) Text Journal [Letter to Mom #7] - Go to the northeastern most garage in the Motorpool area. Climb the ladder to a platform where you'll find the journal on a box.
