~THE PURPOSE OF CREATING THIS CHANNEL/ ABOUT THE VIOLA:
I have created this Channel to bring back the life of an instrument few outside of the 'Orchestra World' have heard of, and many that do not know of. This instrument of which I speak, is known as the beautiful Viola. Its sounds can range from the depths of deep richness, to the heights of angelic purity. The nice thing about the viola, is it does not go too low to where it's barely audible, and it does not reach a height to where your ears may start to bleed or your eyes might begin rolling to the back of your head. It fits just perfectly in between all octaves.

~MY REASON FOR CREATING THIS CHANNEL:
I have also created this Channel so that others may see what God has done for me, as far as talents and blessings go. Though I do enjoy playing classical music of every sort, I feel that is more for a group, not for a soloist. So God has allowed me to find a way to heighten my skills in playing by ear, in improvisation, and practicing more, while also having fun (because playing assigned music is definitely not fun unless you have an awesome piece which comes around once in a while). So I've conjured up songs that could very well have a viola piece in them, but don't. So this is what I do.

~WHAT I DO ON HERE:
Every song I have on this channel, I love and know by heart (they're from a couple of my favorite bands). Nothing gets written down, everything that I play comes from the top of my head. In other words, I improvise. Yes, I practice the songs a few times, but when the camera starts rolling, there's no telling what I'll play. I hardly know-- all I know is a basic idea of what I want to play. Sometimes I'll change what I had planned, and I'll play something more difficult that i hadn't practiced at all before the recording.

~A NEW CHALLENGE:
Something I'm currently challenging myself with, is singing in harmony with my instrument while I play a different harmony.. or while I'm playing the melody, or what-have-you. It's REALLY challenging. But An example of this, is in one of my songs on here "All For A Woman". I sing the harmony near the beginning of the song along with the woman, and play different notes on my viola. A Cellist or Bassist would have an easier time doing this, because their instrument is not pressed/supported/propped up against their neck unlike a Violist or Violinist's instrument.

~WHAT REALLY *IS* MUSIC?:
So it's really fun, I love having the freedom of not having to read printed notes because in all reality, that isn't music. Those are just notes on a paper. The TRUE definition of music, is playing what comes from the heart. It may sound good, it may sound bad, what all matters though, is if you're feeling the pull of Music inside you.

~A SUMMARY:
All-in-all to sum things up, the point I'm trying to get across, is that I'm trying to open doors to musicians or people who have no idea what they want to do with their lives. I'm not saying they need to do exactly what I do, but just to try different things and you'll soon find something you enjoy. I hope I praise God in doing this, and that I may inspire others.
