"And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with swords and lances, till the blood gushed out upon them." Melachim I 18:28
People could start taking things out of context from the Bible or Torah, and it would sound just as violent as when things are taken out of context from the Qur'an.
Just for the fun of it, I point out the scripture you cited declares it to a subset of people, namely the ones who have directly fought against Jersualem ("that have warred against Jerusalem"). The Quranic verses in question declare an offensive conflict, wheras the Old Testament verse you cited clearly defines the enemy as the one who has made the first strike.
Now, I realize that there have been some crazy comments left, but I figured I'd address that point.
"And this shall be the plague wherewith Jehovah will smite all the peoples that have warred against Jerusalem: their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their sockets, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth."
-Zechariah, Chapter 14:12
