There's a book called The Silent Gondoliers that you may like. It's also written by William Goldman writing as S. Morgenstern, so the style of writing is similar to that of Princess Bride. It's not an adventure story like P.B. is - so there are no real action scenes - but it's funny and pleasan...

Ben Elton also co-wrote Black Adder seasons 2-4. It's a great show. (Season 1, which he didn't write, isn't as good). If you haven't seen it, you should check it out.
