Nice try, I could see how this could be refined a bit. Interesting application! Why not use only a bit of the muscle wire and integrate some sort of lever system to multiply the actuation? I'm not sure, but that might be counter effective, reducing it's strength? :/ just a though

There are several things that I am going to differently. Building this prototype was a good lesson because it provided lots of troubleshooting. There are only a few design changes, but they will be crucial. This thing has to last to be reliable too.
