VITEK's Bar-B-Q and the GUT PAK

Established in 1915, Viteks restaurant and market has remained family owned and operated throughout its history and is currently run by Julie Vitek Keith, 4th generation owner and great grand-daughter of founder William Martin Vitek. Viteks Gut Pak meal - which includes chopped beef, sausage, cheese, beans, pickles, onions, jalapenos, bread and Fritos - has been a Waco tradition for more than 25 years. Guests throughout North America and as far away as Europe have experienced the Gut Pak with many enthusiastically recommending it in print and on-line.
In addition to the signature Gut Pak meal, Viteks offers a full menu of true Texas Barbecue, wraps, sandwiches, meats, side orders and desserts. Its full service catering can accommodate parties of any size. Recent innovations to bring Gut Pak meals and Viteks true Texas Barbecue to a wider audience include the Gut Pak Shak mobile kitchen which began touring events nationally in Fall 2009 and a new website with on-line ordering slated to become available in late 2009. Viteks landmark location at 1600 Speight Ave. in Waco is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 11:00 4:00 PM. For ordering or questions call 254-752-7591.
