About Wooden Dimensions:
The visitor (at exhibitions) is invited to open the doors by him/herself, so that the work can be viewed in its total form. In this way, the viewer is no longer a bystander who simply undergoes, or sees the artwork, he/she plays an active part in the creation process by the way a door is opened, closed or left ajar.
In short, the Wooden Dimensions project asks a certain engagement from the spectator, the willingness to discover the different faces of an artwork, to see every changed shadow or reflection of light (by changing the door positions) as another version of the same artwork. The viewer becomes a participating creator who can decide for him/herself how the artwork should be presented.
With this project Rudolf also wants to end the taboo that sculptures and installations should not be touched. You cannot experience 3-dimensional art if you can't touch it.
