This video is compelling and disturbing in a good way. It reveals the gut level politics of the land, food, and water - so vital to us all - but so easily forgotten in the mad rush of our daily lives.

What native Hawaiians are doing here is remembering what makes us human and standing up, for themselves of course, but also for all of us because they have the courage to resist the onslaught of commercial agricultural technologies that are turning our world upside down.

In case you have not noticed, you no longer have a choice about what you eat.

Mahalo nui loa for all who say no to GMO, and the farmers who save their seed, and along with it, our lives.

Take the culture out of agriculture and all you'll have left is agribusiness!

Much alohas for posting this. I cry everytime I come home and see all these cars, all these buildings, and my fellow brothers and sisters falling through the cracks, struggling to survive cause some mainlander wants a beach retreat.

This is what my cousin says to these people...=)
