About Me:
Visit THE LOUISVILLE BLOG at:
louisvillemusicicians.blogspot
Check out my playlists.
My first playlist is dedicated to Louisville and Kentucky groups of the 1950's and 1960's.
The second playlist is dedicated to the 45rpm records of the HIT Record Company of Nashville, TN.
I started collecting vinyl back in the late 1950's in the form of 45 RPM records and later began collecting LP's. I stopped when I finally ran out of room to store them. My main interest was local groups from the Louisville, KY area which is the purpose of this channel. Other music will be included here as well.
If someone is associated with one of the artist who doesn't want the video posted, please let me know and I will remove it. I don't wish to post anything that associated persons do not want posted.
I'm not making any money off of playing these songs. I genuinely love these old records and feel it is such a waste that they may never be heard again. I feel doing what I'm doing is simply giving these great old tunes another chance to be heard and enjoyed. I don't mean to infringe on anybodys artistic rights to this material, so if you are the artist or their representative and you have a problem with me playing your record then let me know and I will promply remove it from the playlist.
Louisville had some extremely talented musicians back in the 1950's and 1960's and I feel obligated to share their unique talents with the world via Youtube. Most of the records I'm showcasing here are well over 35 years old and many have not been heard over the airwaves in decades. I hope you enjoy hearing these oldies but goodies as much as I do.
Thank you,
David
