Hand axe for the win! I bring a saw and an axe with me every time I'm out in a winter environment. Cuts calorie expense down and doesn't need WD-40 :)

Another great video! I carry a leatherman core off of Dave's recommendation and it is a great quality tool. I just went on a 3 day trip in the woods with friends and it outperformed a SOG and Gerber tool hands down. A must have!

Dave, I'm glad you read the comment about the roux. Let us know how it turned out! It should be equal parts fat to flour, and be sprinkled in evenly to avoid clumps. Stir constantly over medium heat until a light brown to light peanut butter color. It should be a this paste consistency while hot...
