At a time when political power, executive decisions, and legal jurisdiction rest in the hands of indiviuals connected on the inside, one man discovers that the omerta of loyalty and respect is nothing more than smoke and mirrors. The stage is set in Bensonhurst during a period where this particular section of Brooklyn is run like its own city-state rather than a few square miles of homes and local businesses. For years, the mafia invested time and money to build invisible walls of security for those who resided within its borders. Its was easy to gain the trust of the community, because you were either with them or against them, and they made it a simple choice. Under their control the neighborhood was a safer place, business flourished, and the people felt like they were part of the solution. What happens when you realize firsthand that becoming a member of the men of honor, is nothing more than being a pawn in a deadly game of street chess, where money is worth more than life, and empty promises are your only reward. Omerta is a firsthand account of the entrepreneurial conglomerate called the mafia. In business, as in life, even those with a monoply on power are subject to fail. Reno (played by Paulie Malignaggi) was given a taste of power at the age of 18 and never looked back. Now years later, the irony is that his own self-reflection is the only thing he's left with. Despite the bloodshed and incessant street warfare, the biggest battle Reno ever fought was the internal bout with his lifelong friend and confidant Tommy (played by Joe Donofrio) . Both were men of honor and held high position in the family, what they considered the corporate conglomerate of the mafia. We see, however, that their relationship was toxic from the beginning.

Amir Khan gets the chance to avenge his loss to Lamont Peterson on May 19th. Their first fight was a controversial one. Peterson beat Khan on points to lift the WBA and IBF titles in Washington on Dec. 10, but Khan complained about being deducted two points, the judges' scoring overall, and the ringside presence of IBF volunteer Mustafa Ameen, who was seen on video distracting judges and leaning across WBA supervisor Michael Welsh during the fight.
The WBA ordered a rematch last month. Khan withdrew from an IBF appeal hearing.
Khan tweeted: "Big announcement. KHAN. Vs PETERSON May 19th, Mandalay Bay Hotel Vegas. At last I git the fight I deserve, Big ..."
Golden Boy chief executive Richard Schaefer told Sky Sports he was confident the Las Vegas commission would make sure security was tight and everything was neutral for both fighters.
"The first fight was a terrific fight, an all-action fight, a lot of controversy, a lot of questions surrounding it so this one here is hopefully going to clear up all these question marks," Schaefer said.
