Converted to Standard Def mpeg2 in Sony Vegas 7.
Mpeg2 converted to Zune H264 640x480 mp4 though Ulead Studio 11 Plus.
Converting wide-screen Hi-Def vids down to Standard Def seems to produce a better quality than shooting in Standard Def, although with commensurate vertical elongation.
There is a view that a video should be rendered down to 320x240 as You Tube uses it's own programming to reduce it to that level anyway, and that any program the user has will normally be better than You Tube's own. Through experiment I've found that this is not necessarily so; user-rendering to 320x240 seems to produce more pixelation and smear than that to 640x480.

Barkham Steet was built, mistakenly by local legend, to plans of contemporarily built London streets around Bethlem Hospital - a London steet in rural Lincolnshire.
