I have come to live at Collinwood, and to be the governess of little David Collins.
(What a horrid child!) I really am hoping to find out about my own background. I don't understand how Mrs. Stoddard found my name and I can't find any clues yet. Burke Devlin keeps telling me to leave..but I just can't. I really must find out about my past.

I was born in New York. I was an abandoned child. Someone left me on the doorstep of a foundling home. It was wintertime, so they gave me the last name "Winters". I grew up there and received my education there. Now I'm at Collinwood. My first job. Wish me luck! This house is very big and strange. The people in it are even stranger. But I want to stay here, so I put up with Roger's rudeness, David's horrible pranks and lies(I am not kidding..he actually tried to kill his own father!!!), Mrs. Stoddard's indifference and Carolyn's childish little fits. And on top of all that, I have an awful wardrobe! My dresses look like bags! But who can afford gladrags on the pitiful salary I get! One of these days I will go to Orbach's myself and get some really cute clothes!
