@VetteAholicZ06 Cobras didn't have that muchpower back then.....they were rated a 305,never 385...modified maybe,but not stock.And when the C4 was still around,there were no Mach 1's....unless you mention the earlier models.Now of course the newer Stang will get a C4,unless it's a very built ZR1....

How can anyone say it was a ZR-1? You can't tell from this video at all...not to mention that even a standard Vette will spank a Saleen Stang any day of the week....sorry boys and girls,but that's how it is....you have to add to what Saleen does to beat a Vette.....you can see it all over you tub...

@sunrisesolara It's really neat to see that car at the museum....you can really appreciate what they did with the C4 in the long run by looking at it......If it wasn't for the C4's success I doubt we would have the true monsters we have today,like the Z06 and that insane ZR1.....

@JodyGmsN1kK No they weren't......for a record to be official the car has to run on factory-issue tires.The Corvette has always used them,whether they were Goodyears or the newer Michelins.

@Marc99GT It sounds crazy but years ago Saab actually did produce a V4 engine.No turbo or anything,but they did make one and put it in a production car.Sometime back in the '60s if I remember.

Wow...and the thing is the ZR-1 can do 130mph down the 1/4 bone stock in 11.3 seconds......already been proven....maybe the gents involved with this car had a lousy track day;it could've definitely gone faster.But with what they have accomplished,bolt-ons only,this thing should do mid to low 10's...
