Vets4Vets is a non-partisan veterans peer support organization dedicated to helping Iraq and Afghanistan era veterans feel good about themselves and heal from any negative aspects of service and war.

In weekend workshops, one-on-one, and local groups, Vets4Vets allows veterans to take equal and uninterrupted turns sharing their experiences and expressing their feelings in a truly confidential setting.

To further promote healing Vets4Vets encourages service men and women to take part in positive community action of their choosing that empowers them to reach out to other veterans.
About Me:

Jim Driscoll served as a Marine Corps infantry platoon commander in Vietnam from 1968-1969. He left his job as a college professor in 1982 to work full time in the movement for social change. As a vet himself, Jim knows that peer support is an important tool for healing from thoughts and feelings associated with combat. He founded Vets4Vets to bring the tools of peer support to Iraq and Afghanistan (post-9/11) veterans.

As a part of my social work senior internship we are starting a group for OIF/OEF veterans at the Mental Health Association in Atlantic County, NJ using your Vets4Vets meeting model. Thank you so much for providing all the details of your group at your website.
