Vernon's life story plays out like an epic action/adventure movie. The son of Christian missionaries, he has traveled to the far corners of the world. He served as a commando in the US Navy's elite Special Boat Teams, and has worked as an engineer, a private investigator, a photographer, a bodyguard, an emergency medical technician, a librarian, and as a substitute teacher in the inner-city war zone known as the LA Unified School District. He has a Master's Degree in Drama, TV and Cinema Writing from the University of Southern California's prestigious Professional Writing Program and a BFA in Film from the world renowned Art Center College of Design. In addition, he has a BS and an AAS from Excelsior College in New York State.
