It's called a tarantula hawk or a Pepsis wasp, but not a tarantula hawk wasp, just so you know! I have seen them 3" long. They live a life of relative impunity, getting drunk on fermented fruits when they are not hunting spiders. They don't worry about predation like most insects because nothing...

@AceofDlamonds I did say "this is a feeding" in the description. I also posted another equal "fight" just like you described, no running into the glass either. It got removed for inappropriate content. The scorp did win again, the 'pede could not penetrate its armor. Turned out to be another feed...

@ultum4tegunz possibly not. emps have thicker armor and stronger claws. There's a good chance they would both die.Anyways, I would never risk a $100 pede in a battle with a $20 scorp. I went ahead and did it with the D hairy because I was sure of the outcome.

@Hopper3513 yea, so true, individual scorpions have their personalities. I'm not gonna lie I have another one that I would not handle like this, his name is Cuddles. Generally speaking though, the Pallidus subspecies is less aggressive and the Spadix is a bit more aggressive.
