Velous is someone who can truely be considered a natural when it comes to music. Singer-Rapper, Music Producer, Song-writer and Multi-instrumentalist(Guitar, drums and piano), Velous claims to be a student of music because he is ever learning. In 2009 at the age of 16 Velous became a signed artist and wrote and produced his debut single "I Love You". A song that showed Velous had song writing abilities way beyond his years. This song was placed in heavy rotation on radio and Music Choice, gaining notoriety across the United States.

Drive, determination and direction are what keep this new artist on his grind. He opted not to re-sign his contract with the independent label that he was previously with. He is now unsigned and 19 years old. In June of 2011 he will be releasing a Mixtape titled "VELOCITY" with all of his own original music.

This mixtape is performed, produced, written and arranged by Velous and includes no features. Velous refers to this "VELOCITY" mixtape as his Nas's "Illmatic", in the likeness that there are no featured artists. Velous' "VELOCITY" covers a wide variety of music, including Hip-hop, R&B and Pop. This project has a strong artistic presence that you will find a little different and out of the norm.

Velous describes his sound "Where futuristic meets retro". Velous is influenced by numerous artists, all belonging to a plethora of genres. He finds inspiration from many of his life experiences.

Currently, Velous is producing projects for artists in genres ranging from Folk to Hip-hop and R&B. Now he is ready for his career to really take flight. Buckle up and sit tight, because just like Velous says...
