About Me:
Vedera was formed in 2004 by singer and guitarist/pianist Kristen May and lead guitarist Brian Little, who had previously played together in a different band for about a year. Drummer Drew Little and bassist Jason Douglas joined the band soon after the end of Brian and Kristen's previous band, Red Authentic.

"the scene has produced few vocalists like Vedas bombastic Kristen May, the likely champion if a television network ever stages Underground Idol."
-Alternative Press
"this debut captures a band nailing the mandate of their first full-length and offers reason to believe theyre capable of much growth. Keep your ears peeled, the best is yet to come."
-AMP Magazine
"a voice so colossal, youll be forever intimidated to pick up a karaoke mic."
-Campus Circle
"She [May] is not only blessed with an enormous voice, but she clearly knows how to use it, crafting expectant verses and choruses that deliver in a big way. With so many generic male singers littering the landscape of indie rock right now, its refreshing to hear such a distinctive female voice."
-Chord
"[with] Kristen Mays fearlessly powerful, silky smooth voice, Vedas debut will make you ponder if this is what a Tori Amos or Rachel Sage album wouldve sounded like if they discarded their grand pianos and gone down the hipster rock n roll avenue instead."
-Relevant
"Never before have I put in a CD from a fairly unknown band and been completely captivated. Through 13 songs and 50 minutes of music, Veda will prove to you that theyve provided the scene with one of 2005's best albums."
-Punknews
"The centerpiece to VEDA is vocalist/guitarist Kristen May, who personifies the chanteuse profile perfectly. Neither overpowering nor frustratingly quaint, May's middling style is just right for the band's clean instrumentation. The rhythm section is deliciously ethereal, with a welcome focus on simple, but pulsating bass lines and soaring guitar soundscapes."
