@JNovak92 I love Wolfmother, Muse I can take it or leave it although they are apparently awesome live, and Green Day are great but have been around forever. I will check out the other two bands that I don't know. Really what I mean by 'this style of music' is Blues rock with virtuoso guitar solos...

@yekshemesh4alig - I take it you don't play gigs? the capo is for a guitar thats in open tuning, you don't want to spend five minutes pissing the audience off between songs so just go for the guitar thats set up properly, whats the problem with that?

@beannie60 - He plays a lot of different guitars in a show so each of them works best with different Amp combos. Also some Amps 'clean up' better than others so for songs with quiet dynamics you use the one(s) that sound best with a clean tone or when you roll off the volume on the guitar. Unfor...

Also Eddie got more into keyboards and wanted the Hagar era VH to sound radically different to the DLR albums..I guess its evoluton, even the Black Keys got corrupted by production values eventually

I remember being blown away by this back in '78 or so - its still great but now theres the nagging suspicion that sick guitar tone may not be totally 'live'.
