Welcome to my channel! My name is Vasil Belezhkov and I'm composer and guitarist from Bulgaria. I graduated in the 'Dobrin Petkov' National School for Music and Dance Arts - Plovdiv, BULGARIA http://plovdivmusicschool.w... (2002- classical guitar) and the 'Prof. Pancho Vladigerov' National Music Academy - Sofia, BULGARIA http://nma.bg (2009- composition in the Theoretical department and 2011- guitar in the 'Pop & Jazz' department). 1984 - born on 13th March in Plovdiv (Bulgaria)
1994 - began to study classical guitar
1997-2002 - student in 'Dobrin Petkov' National School for Music and Dance Arts - Plovdiv, Bulgaria in the classical guitar class of duo Milena & Valentin Valtchev; participation in the guitar master classes of: Annette Kruisbrink (the Netherlands), David Grimes (USA), Dimitris Reginos (Cyprus), Eric Franceries (France), Jurg Kindle (Switzerland), Kristina Schorn (Austria)
1999-2002 - first composition lessons in the class of prof. Dimitar Tapkov
2001-2002 - member of Plovdiv guitar quartet (Valentin Valtchev, Milena Valtcheva, Vasil Belezhkov, Petar Kerkelov)
2001 (June) - 3rd prize in the 8th international classical guitar festival and competition - Plovdiv, Bulgaria
2002 (May) - finalist in the 'Prof. P. Hadzhiev' student's national harmony competition - Sofia, Bulgaria
2002-2007 - student in the Theoretical department of the National Music Academy 'Prof. Pancho Vladigerov' - Sofia, Bulgaria in the composition class of prof. Iovcho Crushev; the first student in this department of the Academy who graduated as a classical guitarist in a high music school
2003 - finalist in the First Academic composition competition - Sofia, Bulgaria
2004 - 3rd prize in the Second Academic composition competition - Sofia, Bulgaria
2006 - Special prize in the 10th edition of 'Acad. Marin Goleminov' guitar festival - Kyustendil, Bulgaria
2007 (July) - became student in the 'Pop & Jazz music' department of the National Music Academy 'Prof. Pancho Vladigerov' - Sofia, Bulgaria in the guitar class of Tsvetan Nedyalkov
2008 (February) - presentation of the book 'Pieces for guitar' by Vasil Belezhkov & Vladimir Vlaev
2009 (April) - became a guitarist of the rock band 'EPIZOD'
2009 (20th November) - graduated as a composer in the Theoretical department of the 'Prof. Pancho Vladigerov' National Music Academy - Sofia, Bulgaria with his 'Concerto for classical and electric guitar and symphonic orchestra' - first of its kind work in the Bulgarian symphonic music
2010 (October) - 'The people of Dulo' - the album of the Bulgarian rock band 'EPIZOD' where Vasil is guitarist, keyboardist and co-arranger, is published
2011 (June) - graduated as a guitarist in the Pop & Jazz department of the 'Prof. Pancho Vladigerov' National Music Academy - Sofia, Bulgaria
2011 (September) - 3rd prize in the Second competition for composing new work for wind orchestra (Montana, Bulgaria) (for 'Pravo trakiysko horo')
2011 (October) - 3rd prize in the Academic composition competition (NMA 'P. Vladigerov' - Sofia, Bulgaria) (for 'Stillness' - piece for trombone & piano)
2011 (October) - 2nd prize in the 11th international compoetition for composing a symphonic work in 7/8 (for 'The Gold-fingered' suite for kaval and symphonic orchestra; this suite was performed by the kaval player Kiril Belezhkov who is Vasil's younger brother and was dedicated to the memory of their favorite kaval player Stoyan Velichkov /1930-2008/ a.k.a. 'The Gold-fingered from Strandzha mountain')
2011 (October) - 2nd prize in the Third national competition for new Bulgarian music in 7/8 (Chepelare, Bulgaria) (for 'Pirin dance' - piece for solo tambura)
