Hi there, everyone!! I've been watching the heck out of some youtube lately and reviewing a bit, so I thought I'd introduce myself so we can all get better acquainted. I work in a water lab full-time, work as a vet tech part-time, dance, do theatre, take LOTS of photos on a daily basis, and suck at writing but love reading. I'm a long-time Star Trek fan and a huge Voyager fan to boot (if you check out my myspace page, this will be quite obvious). Once Spike tv started airing Voyager reruns, I became re-obsessed...umm, I mean "reacquainted" with the show, its characters, and the actors who play them (OKAY FINE, obsessed- but in a good way). I have great admiration for the philosophy behind Star Trek and its vision for the future (don't be shocked people: the future has women in positions of power and, oh my God!!! The world is a better place; go figure...). I also think that Janeway is the best captain ever and would outwit any of the other captains, even if I like them, too. She's a wonderful role model for anyone, male or female, and love the fact the Spike's re-airing of Voyager has created a whole shlew of new fans, including my young nieces. Kate Mulgrew is equally fabulous and a fantastic role model; I've never met anyone with such a passion for life. I'm also an avid J/Cer and am convinced that aliens DO in fact exist and took over Kate's body when she marched up to the evil B's and insisted for the writers to have "The drone" and Chakotay as a couple. (Ugh that whole 7/C thing makes me a nauseous; I'm going to pretend it never happened. 7/EMH...much better...I know, I know; I MUST learn how to express an opinion). Everyone is entitled to temporary insanity so I forgive Kate, but now it is up to all the wonderful J/C fanfic writers to clean up the mess, and I THANK YOU ALL WITH ALL MY HEART!!! I used to absolutely hate fan fiction; don't know why (I must have been temporarily inhabited by an alien, too...) but I ADORE it now, and look forward to reading everything J/C I can get my hands on (so feel free to recommend your favorite fanfic stories!!) The same goes with Voyager vids; if you love it, send me the link! Maybe one day I'll take a stab at writing fanfic or making my own music vids, but until then, I'll do my best to give honest and helpful reviews.
