Well, it looks like you have a decent sized property. What you can do, is for yourself as a Survival community. become the BOL for a group. Then when the time comes, THEY will bring all the guns to be used to protect the supplies.

I use a system like that, to scan all the major commodities market sectors, and zoom in on the few that look good. Then I put my indicators on the few that remain and zero in on what I want to pull the trigger on.

I can trade all day, with just one monitor.

Trading commodities is best when you use technical analysis. There is no way you can now all of the news that moves the market otherwise.

There are a lot of great books on the subject. some are really cheap e books even, like The one in the link.

That is a very informative introduction! But you would still need to learn some actual trading techniques. There are lots of great books to start learning. To begin I'd try some stuff like this one below.
