The Van Cliburn Foundation promotes great music and world-class artists through the annual Cliburn Concerts series, ongoing educational programs, and the International Piano Competition.
The 2009 Cliburn winners are:
Nobuyuki Tsujii - gold medal (tie)
Haochen Zhang - gold medal (tie)
Yeol Eum Son - silver medal
Evgeni Bozhanov - finalist
Mariangela Vacatello - finalist
Di Wu - finalist
The winners of the Thirteenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition will share more than 300 concert engagements throughout the United States and internationally as part of their prize package.

Michael Shih & Friends- violin Concertmaster of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra since 2004, Michael Shih is admired for the intensity of his commitment to his superb craft, as well as his willingness to explore new repertoire for his instrument, a 1710 Antonio Stradivari violin. But it is Mr. Shih's passion for sharing musical discoveries and favorite works with his friends and colleagues that will ensure he remains a fixture in our community.
