About this user
Vallum is a bi-annual, print magazine of new poetry, interviews, reviews, visual art and feature articles.
Critically-acclaimed as "one of the top literary magazines in the country", Vallum is your gateway to the global poetry community.
Founded in 2000 by Joshua Auerbach and Eleni Zisimatos, the first issue was launched at Casa del Popolo in the spring of 2001.
Vallum has since positioned itself as an avant-garde exposition of the best in poetry, providing a literary platform for established and emerging writers from Canada, the US and abroad. Notable past contributors include Franz Wright, Paul Muldoon, Stephen Dunn, Les Murray, Charles Bernstein, John Kinsella, Fanny Howe and George Elliott Clarke, Andrew Motion, Erin Mouré, Peter Redgrove and Nicole Brossard.
Vallum's poetry is edgy, engaging and brave: in each issue, readers will find writing that pushes the boundaries of writing and invites the exploration of different worlds and perspectives.
Framing the poetic contributions are essays, interviews, book reviews and elegant full-colour art reproductions.
