I was a member of the WHS marching band from 1982-1985. I knew Lynn very well, and was good friends with her. The fatal accident was a shock to me as well.
I am wondering if any has a video of the trombone solo, I was playing the solo my senior year (1985). If someone can remember or know how to get that video I would appreciate it a lot. My name is Kenneth L. Telfair, Sr.

As I remember, Lynn begged to leave early on the last day of band camp to spend a long weekend with one of her cousins in Moultrie. She had gone to summer school so she could take band her senior year. So, I let her go early and that Friday night. She and 2 cousins had an auto accident where she and one cousin were killed in the accident. That was one of the most painful events I have ever had to deal with. I saw Lynn grow from shy timid little girl to a young woman who was full of spirit and life. I will always remember her and admire her. She had a brother (Russell) that I have lost contact with that was a super guy as well. I know her parents were wonderful caring people who were crushed with Lynn's passing.

Yes she was. A very wonderful young lady who we all loved.
