I'm a Dutch truckdriver and a few years ago I bought a Zucchero album in Italy where the version of this song is called Madre Dolcissima. It's the version with SRV, a little bit longer than the video you did upload.
So in Italy it's not called Mama. I gave the CD to my brother, if you want more info about it, I can always ask him. Maybe you did already know these facts; in that case consider it not written.
