It's amazing that even death is a reminder and a lesson regarding the dangerously volatile nature of humanity, no matter what our intentions may be.

What is more cancerous to our shared civilizations: delusional righteousness or willful vindictiveness?

It hardly matters, I think. We should guard against both with equal vigilance, and remember our leaders' greatest ideals when we decide how we want to conduct ourselves.

We will often fail in the effort but we must continue making it.
