@idinamenzelfanzel Chess is set in 1979-1980, which was way BEFORE the Berlin Wall came down. Russia was still the communist Soviet Union. Berlin Wall came down in the late 1980's.

Kerry Ellis is probably my favorite Svetlana <3 She's the only one who makes singing her songs look easy when they really aren't. And Idina is awesome as usual. People can criticize them all they want, but I'd like to see them try to do better. Love this cast <3

Their voices are so different, not talent wise, but just genre wise. It's amazing how well they work together! I love their duets <3

My favorite parts are the chorus part in the beginning and then the "Liar" part until the end <3 Goosebumps!

@thursdaynext5 Judy's weight differed throughout the filming of the movie due to her struggle with weight gain/loss. This scene was one of the last scenes they filmed when her weight was lower.

I agree that Patti is a great vocal talent, definitely one of the best in Broadway history, but with this song...I don't know. I got the vibe that she had no emotional connection to the song and she was just singing the notes. I didn't have the goosebumps that should come from such a powerful son...
