Chuck Davis' family, friends and associates (they're all his friends) gather to celebrate Chuck and the completion of his final tome "Chuck Davis' History of Metropolitan Vancouver". Unfortunately, I somehow missed his wife Edna's speech at the book launch so I've included her address to his memorial service from earlier this year. In order of appearance, uber-author Alan Twigg, Harbour Publishing's Howard White, Vancouver City Councillor Heather Deal, friend and CEO of Tourism Vancouver Rick Antonson; friend and longtime Vancouver media icon Red Robinson; the ubiquitous bandleader Dal Richards; friend, author, journalist, Vancity exec and former City of Vancouver bee-keeper Allen Garr. Edna Davis' dedication to husband Chuck Saturday March 26, 2011 at the Hotel Vancouver. The evening was capped off with the showing of an amazing six minute film from 1907.
