I compared this to Whitney Houston's (live) version on the Merv Griffin show when Whitney was 21 (YouTube) and I've got to say Lena's is much smoother and more accomplished, at fifteen! So much more pleasant to listen to.

It was a sad day when Lena met Dorothy S. She seem to be complaining that the Chidrens employment regulations were preventing her from working Lena 24/7. Dorothy had no children of her own so I suspect work and money was her only love and expected Lena to be the same. I doubt it even crossed her...

Without a doubt, the most amazing singing sensation of the 20th. century. Lena was a true phenomenon. Coming from a remote part of Western Scotland, self taught, she won on Opportunity Knocks at 9 then toured the world, promoting her music at just 10 years of age.

A No.1 hit for Kay Starr in 955 and recorded by many artists since. Back then, there were no music videos so here we can enjoy Lena's faultless stage performance too.

IMO best version ever and she was just 11 years old.
