I like how you take interesting principles and spin them the way you like.
What practical difference exists between:
The force of arms,
The force of numbers,
The force of law (government),
In fact between any kind of force and any other, to the person(s) against whom that force is used.
GOOD INTENTIONS - The favorite EXCUSE of tyrants and fools.
GREATER GOOD - The favorite INVOCATION of the foolish and tyrannical.
SACRIFICE - The favorite DEMAND of the tyrannical and foolish.
Selfishness - That what is most important is the individual, the singularity, the one, the person.
Selflessness - That what is most important is the collective, the totality, the whole, the people.
Example:
SELF INTEREST - You're hungry, you eat. You're thirsty, you drink. You're tired, you sleep.
SELFISHNESS - I, am Hugh
SELFLESSNESS - We, are the Borg
All forms of BIGOTRY, sexual, racial, economic, theological, etc..., REQUIRE the aid of the STATE to be socially relevant. There is NO such thing as an anti-statist bigot.
