Welcome to Utter Nonsense Video Clips

Utter Nonsense is the production company for new comedy plays, written and performed by ROY HUTCHINS AND TONY HAASE.

TONY HAASE is a writer, artist and performer, originally with Brightons Cliffhanger Theatre Co. He was a Perrier Award nominee with Les & Robert and has produced award winning solo shows; Gerty Naylor and The Black Room. His TV appearances include They Came From Somewhere Else, Mornin Sarge, Colins Sandwich, Alan Partridge and The Day Today.

ROY HUTCHINS has won 2 Fringe Firsts; a Charrington One Person Show Award; a Royal Television Society Award (presenting Heathcote Williams Whale Nation) and was voted Time Out Performer of the Year. Hes been nominated twice for The Perrier (if.comedy) Award and had his own 12 part series of dramatised comic stories performed on BBC Radio 5.

Playing an array of different comic characters, Hutchins and Haase have merged elements of the comedy-musical, the sit-com and the classic double-act to create an original and accessible style of comedy theatre. The influence of commedia dellarte is clear but their shows have also been described as, Morecambe and Wise meets South Park and Samuel Beckett meets the Marx Brothers. And, by THE LATEST as:

A sort of updated Pete and Dud...They have the ability to create something which, while seemingly effortlessly ad-libbed, deposits you at the end realising that you have experienced something finely honed and structured, as well as original. Catch them while you can.
