The International Initiative to Prosecute US Genocide in Iraq is aimed at bringing the charge of genocide against the United States, its leaders and allies in a court of universal jurisdiction.

The basis of the initiative is an understanding that the purposive destruction of a state and nation cannot be allowed to be a precedent for the opening of this century.

At stake in Iraq is not only the inalienable sovereignty of a nation, but also the standing and future of international law, indeed of humanity itself. The Iraqi people and its resistance is defending values upon which all our lives depend.
