Uptown Music Theatre

The mission of UMT is to promote community unity through the tradition of fine storytelling in musical theatre. Each year, Uptown Music Theatre commissions an original children's musical. Since 2000, UMT has created a body of work that presents fresh, contemporary themes in family entertainment that are uplifting and educational. UMT offers an intensive, eight-week summer program that instructs young people age 5-18 in the dramatic arts. Our program is tuition-free to reach as many children and youth from under-served communities as possible.
