Toben Nelson, ScD- Associate Professor, School of Public Health Division of Epidemiology & Community Health

In this video series, our experts leave their office walls behind and welcome viewers into their personal lives. What we found is that their personal interests often intersect with their professional pursuits. We also discovered that the University's health sciences are filled with some pretty incredible people.

Dr. Nelson's research is focused in health policy, organizational change, health behavior during developmental transitions, influence of sports participation on health, social determinants of health, program evaluation, prevention of alcohol attributable harm, physical activity promotion, obesity prevention, and motor vehicle safety. His research recognizes the importance of environmental conditions for health and the value of combining a population perspective with an individual perspective for improving health. Show less
