103. Surah Al-Asr (The Time)

1. By Al-'Asr (the time).

2. Verily! Man is in loss,

3. Except those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth (i.e. order one another to perform all kinds of good deeds (Al-Ma'ruf)which Allah has ordained, and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds (Al-Munkar)which Allah has forbidden), and recommend one another to patience (for the sufferings, harms, and injuries which one may encounter in Allah's Cause during preaching His religion of Islamic Monotheism or Jihad, etc.).

The Remembrance of Allah

Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction [Quran, Surah Rad, ayah 28]

"O you who have believed, fear Allaah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him]."
{Surah 'Ali 'Imraan ayaah 102}

Rasullullah May Allah send peace and blessings upon him giving an example of Muslim unity is reported to have said in a Hadith:

"The Muslim Ummah is like one body. If the eye is in pain then the whole body is in pain and if the head is in pain then the whole body is in pain"

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the greatest falsehood. Do not spy on one another, do not try to find fault with one another, do not envy one another, do not be jealous of one another, do not be angry with one another, do not turn away from one another, and be servants of Allah, as brothers

"What can my enemies do to me?
I have in my breast both my heaven and my garden.
If I travel they are with me,
never leaving me.
Imprisonment for me is a chance to be alone with my Lord.
To be killed is martyrdom and to be exiled from my land is a spiritual journey.'

He asked the man: "Did Allah, the Glorified and Exalted, promise you that He will free you from Hell Fire?" The man said, "No." ... "Did Allah promise you that He will give you Jannah?" The man replied, "No." So then Hasan Al Basri said, "Why are you laughing and enjoying yourself?" Subhanallah...very true a question we should ask ourselves if we wish to obtain Jannah InshAllah. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
