Quick Video explaining how two-way radios work and how to program your scanners to hear them. This covers simple radio systems like CB, GMRS, FRS, Marine. Future episodes to follow to cover more advanced radio systems.
They are there (if they are in the database). To follow up with questions, it would be much better to use the link given in the video summary. As you see, it could take days to notice a comment, here.
See the link in the video description. Ask questions in the Community forum on that site (links cannot be put into comments or I would relink, here).
The database reflects the real world as far as radio systems go. For a visual, see the database pages at the RadioReference web site, which is where we get our data. That said, setting your location will make the HP-1 do a pretty good job of filtering things down to channels in use near where you are.
Interesting representation of a scanner...it is actually a spectrum analyzer (different thing). Next time you guy need to show a scanner, give me a shout. Something like the HomePatrol-1 (homepatrol(dot)com) would look pretty cool in the show (and is actually a police scanner).
The Bearcat 880 is not a scanner, it is a CB. This video is about the CB.
