Says 1949 Chevy coupe, But this is a 2-door sedan, not a coupe. I suspect someone assumes that because it's a 2 door that means it's a coupe. True of modern cars, but not so back in the day.

@HernanCortes1521 How do you figure it's a real TEJANO SONG?? Ben Peters, who wrote it, isn't from Texas. Duane Dee who first recorded it & realeased it is not from Texas. There were no Spanish lyrics until Freddy added them. How then is it "intended" to be a bilinual song?

Man, that's a sweet ride! It's not a "coupe" however. It's a sedan. The coupes have a much shorter roofline with smaller rear side windows. Sedans came in 2 & 4 door versions.

They do look cool, but ask some geezers & you'll find that no young person would have been caught dead running a windshield visor in the '50s.

Hard to say for sure since it's customized. It's either a '39 Deluxe, or a '40 Standard. The tail lights are '39.

Outstanding! I dig the way you make songs your own, rather than doin' an impersonation. You call this one a Marvin Gaye cover, but do you remember that his version was a Gladys Night cover?
